Dry air pulls water out of your skin. Here’s how to put it back and keep it there.

When the air gets dry, it quite literally pulls water out of your skin. Heating, air conditioning and cold wind all speed that up, which is why your face can feel tight an hour after moisturizer.
Put water back, then lock it in
Start with a humectant like hyaluronic acid on damp skin, so it has water to hold onto. Follow with a cream that has ceramides or squalane to slow the evaporation back out.
At night, finish with a thin layer of balm on your driest spots. Think of it as a lid on the jar.
